everything will change.

Eris-76 wanted him to burst through her window in the darkness of the boot-black night, gather her up in his wiry, capable arms, and take her far from here. She wanted him to spirit her away from this mockery of a town, from those cold scientists with their cold hands and colder syringe-loads of false promises.
He would take Eris-76 and sweetly love her the way she had always desired to be loved, and they would give each other the names of freedom.
Still, he did not come crashing through her window.
He came crashing through the window two floors down.

and, like meg, i'm really glad you're still doing these. i think i've reconciled myself to them not being more than just snippets, and they're extremely enjoyable.

  3. I disagree with Meg. This is not hilarious. I would cry if this happened to me. Although, upon rereading, it is sort of bitterly amusing.

Basically, I love this. Much. I think this one is my favorite out of all the snippets you've done lately.
