Meta.

"It's all in the comic-books," Arson nodded over his cold breakfast. "Does Red Skull ever get ladies? No. No, they're all staring at Captain freaking America."
Voltron-boy was silent.
"It's the whole 'security' thing." Arson fumed, half-literally. "We can't offer them anything, but those government-bought sellouts-" He lapsed into steaming silence.
Voltron-boy was shocked.
"So- She's not calling?" He stared down at his crackling cell-phone.
"Not if you keep frying the battery like that."
Meanwhile, in a lair-kitchen on the other side of town:
"It's the whole 'mary-jane' thing." She-Wolf growled. "They don't want us to do anything but fall all over them."
Hypoxia sniffled. "So he's not calling?"

[God, I need to get back into writing.]

  1. it's far from awful--i like it a lot. the concept of it is awesome. there was nothing WRONG with the writing, it just seemed very different from previous 101's.
    also it's adorable :3

  2. I. Love. Muchly. Like Shan said, it is a lot different, but it works. Really. It still sounds like you: the fascinating names, the allusions, all that. As a superhero junkie, I am a fan.
