Valentinus.

Asher goes out and claims love, as a wretched carnivore goes out and claims its sustenance.
Antlerboy writes letters, dotes upon, and plays at love, until his lady wishes to meet, and he frightens another heart away by appearing.
Satin is love: she holds it within herself, and when her protectors return, slaughtered in their endeavors, she gives love, not in the form of kisses, or soft words, but in a child's way- a rather abrupt embrace, a shoddy, thoughtful meal, or a soft touch upon a forearm.
And Satin carries from the One, a love that will never run dry.

  1. This reminds me of the Soapp story -- comparing them all to each other with they "they wills" is something that I really like.

  2. I like the contrast between the characters as well. I would like to know where those names came from though. I liked the 'shoddy, thoughtful meal' line greatly. I don't want to ruin it by comparing it to the trite phrase "it's the thought that counts." However, I think that it took that idea behind that phrase and made it absolutely beautiful. Well done.

  3. Poor Antlerboy!

Finally getting more of a peak into Satin's character. Also finally getting used to not reading it as "Satan" the first time I see it. Both are gewd developments.

I love the thought of the heartbroken boys coming back to Satin to get their wounds bandaged. Their dysfunctional little family is full of fuzzies.
